Allyson McDermott

Historic wallpapers from some of the world's most important buildings, now printed to order for the first time.

Allyson McDermott is one of the world's leading experts on historic wallpaper. For more than four decades her studio has conserved and recreated papers for extraordinary buildings - among them the Royal Pavilion at Brighton, Kensington Palace, the Palace of Westminster, Temple Newsam and Sudeley Castle.

With Allyson McDermott Editions, those papers are available on a print-to-order basis for the first time, opening them up to designers and their clients well beyond the world of heritage commissions. Every design comes from her archive of European and Chinese wallpapers dating from the 17th to the 20th century, and is printed to museum standards in her own studios.

For projects that call for something truly unique, the studio's bespoke service can recreate any design at any scale, in custom colours and finishes including gold, silver and copper leaf.
